The meeting held tonight was for the cleanup of the Prison property. As described in the attached document to the Engage site , the county has applied for a grant from the EPA - a rather competitive grant - for $4 million. This represents the total cost of the clean up which includes the removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos, lean, PCBs, and left over materials from water infiltration from being vacant for so long. Finally, there is some movement in the Prison saga. Recently there was an update on the Engage Montco site that announced a public meeting on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 5pm to 6pm. This meeting will be to present and discuss the Cleanup Grant and the Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives. They are asking for input from the public. This is the grant from the EPA to address environmental issues associated with the site. They encourage anyone with interest in this pr
