County says, county delivers

Often times, we hear that government says, but does not deliver. This is a time that saying was different. You may remember that at one of the last county Commissioner's meeting, the Planning director, Scott France, gave an update on that was going on with the release of the Request for Express Interest (RFEI). In those comments he mentioned a new website that was designed to engage the community on county issues. One of our group requested that the Prison project be added to that list., and the other day it was released.
Engage Montco, which you can see at this link which lists the various projects that could be of interest to county residents. Right there on the front page, is a link to the page about the prison project, and most importantly, they are hosting a survey about what people would like to see happen with the building. There is a little button to the upper right that says "take survey" button which will take you to the survey. I urge you to go to the survey and participate. It will go a long way to let the county know that there are us out there that want to save this historic icon. The worst thing that can happen is that there is no interest and the county says, "see we told you it should be knocked down". You can be a part of making sure that doesn't happen. To date, it has had 16 responses an the survey will be up for 6 more weeks.
The other things of note that are on that site are the power point from Mr. France's presentation, the structural assessment report, and the project map and outline for the project site. When the RFEI is released, that will also be on this site.
