Survey Says!

As you might know, the county survey has now closed. I am pleased that they had over 700 participants and during the week of August 26th, results will be published. I, for one, am excited to see what it says, and I am very thankful to all of you who voiced your opinion on the subject.

The next phase of the project will begin, which is the development of the Structural Assessment Study, which should be completed this fall. The findings from that will be included in the Request for Express Interest (RFEI) "for the benefit of prospective developers". The summary of the scope is included in the same Engage Montco site where you may have accessed the survey.

I am not sure who did the flyover drone footage, but there is a really cool video that was posted to our Facebook page. If you haven't seen that, treat yourself and check it out.

Hope your summer has been enjoyable and you aren't too overwhelmed with back to school activities which are going strong now. Being an empty nester, I've been there - done that - and have the T-shirt to prove it! Seriously, I personally have always enjoyed this time of year as it represents a beginning instead of an end for me. So thank you again for helping voice your opinion on the survey and supporting the effort to save the Historic Prison.
